TERROR DANJAH - ACID / PRO-PLUS (HYPERDUB)

Both tunes on this excellent Hyperdub imprint welcome the listener with TD’s signatory ‘hee-hee-ha-haa’ sample and develop in a cracking dancefloor banger.
The composition and production are impeccable and as expected for Hyperdub, the sound is mastered to perfection. Acid is a rollercoaster of synths, rhythms, basslines, and kicks complete with some recognisable samples already featured on Sidechain amongst others. After the first intermezzo, Detroit-y techno chords briefly kick in along with a 4/4 beat only to be fused back into a broken grimey pattern. Pro Plus on the flip starts of with a tight and heavy 140 snare beat, accompanied by subtle congas and shakers in the background. Along with rinsing if ever so slightly ‘trance-y’ synths, catchy lead melody and vocal samples, this future anthem will get you doing gun fingers whether you’re at home or in the club.
